Question...

So what do you do when you start a book and about halfway through it you realize you really don't like the book, hate the way the writer writes and think the story is a little ridiculous/over done? What if three different people have told you how much they LOVED the book? Do you just stop reading and give up and start something else? GAH!

If I wasn't pregnant...

I'd be participating in my new drinking game every Wednesday when I watch "Project Runway". Every time that Ricky cries, it's a shot of beer. Based on the amount of tears that are shed within those 60 minutes- you could probably get pretty drunk.

Someone has the case of the Mondays...

Actually, today wasn't so bad. I didn't sleep at all last night (thanks to my darling little gestating fetus...I guess this is getting me ready for Motherhood) and after contemplating working from home, I decided to go in anyways. I'm glad I did- as I had a ton of work to do. I actually got some of it done (amazing!) between my 75 trips to the bathroom and 6 trips to the breakroom to get snacks.

After work I broke down and bought myself a body pillow, which I hope will help me sleep a little better tonight. Jeremy and I had a nice dinner at a thai restaurant, then spent a good hour snooping around Half Price books. I walked out the door with three in hand. I'm looking forward to reading all of them, I just can't decide on which one to start first. I'm counting down the days till April 18, when I go on vacation and wait for the kiddo to show up. I'm hoping some of you all will come visit me when I'm at home, maybe we can watch some trashy daytime soaps or catch up on all the episodes of "The Girls Next Door".

Getting Ready for a Rugrat

Today the Mom's and I went out shopping for a few things for the Bean. We had a lovely breakfast at the Original Pancake House in Kirkland and then went over to Merry Go Round in Bellevue. It was unbelievable all the beautiful (and extremely expensive!) stuff they had there. But it was fun to look. We picked up the stroller/car seat combo for the little kiddo and Jeremy immediately put it together when I got it home.

Hard to believe that in a few more months, there will be a little person sitting in that car seat. CRAZY!

MMMM... Cheesecake

Today I met with my friends Katie and Jessica for some well-deserved girl time and food at the Cheesecake Factory in Bellevue. I had talked myself out of buying a whole cheesecake and bringing it home in the car on the way over there, but by the time we were ready to leave, I found myself telling the waiter that I wanted a 6 inch Original Style Cheesecake to go. It was like there was some other force pushing the words out of my mouth. I see that even in the womb, Cleetus the Fetus has a power over me- making me do things that a normal person shouldn't do.

I feel a little more ready for the kiddo to show up, today after lunch Jessica and I popped into Baby Gap and I bought a simple outfit to bring the little kiddo home in. I did buy both colors of hats as well, I thought it would be cute to bring both to the hospital and see which one we get to put on. :) I'm a nerd.

24 Weeks

Ok. Check out the size of my "Granny Pants" style swim bottoms. What the heck, man? I had to buy a new suit as my tankini was starting to rise up over my belly. I thought, "well hey, this suit is on sale for $9.99, why not?" Now I know why they had so many left.

Here I am at 24 weeks. In the race of the Belly and the Boobs, the Belly has taken the lead.

Miss Kitty catching an illegal cat nap on my bed. Don't you just want to rub her belly??

Happy New Year!

So far, 2008 has been pretty great. Granted, it's only been 6 days, but those days have been fun. Today, The Girls came over for Tea and Lunch and it was so nice to see everyone. I even got to pull out the fancy china my Grandma gave me a couple years ago. Don't get me wrong, we aren't the white gloves and hat kind of ladies- our discussion is pure gossip and good time laughs. I think that in 2008 Tea and Lunch should be a monthly occurrence!

Last week I had a check up and all went well. I received the glucola drink for next time around and I am not looking forward to that. Cleetus the Fetus has been rockin' and rollin' in my belly, today Jeremy said it felt like it was body slamming itself against my stomach. Feisty, aren't we!

Last night Jeremy and I saw "Juno" and it was such a cute movie. If you haven't seen it yet, go out and see it!
